A source of knowledge and inspiration about GVP parking systems

Learn how GVP vertical parking technology works.
Explore practical applications and benefits for investors, cities and users.

How to park and retrieve a car in 3 steps?

GVP vertical parking systems are advanced automated parking systems that use rotary mechanisms for vertical vehicle storage. The system works fully automatically, without requiring anyone inside the parking structure.

How to park in 3 steps:

  1. Wjedź samochodem na platformę parkingową.
  2. Get out and select “Park” on the control panel.
  3. Take the ticket and the system will automatically park the vehicle in an available space.

How to retrieve a vehicle in 3 steps:

  1. Pay for the ticket, then select “Retrieve” on the control panel.
  2. The system will automatically bring the vehicle to the exit position.
  3. Once the process is complete, get back into the car and leave the parking facility.

GVP technology and innovation

GRAND VERTICAL PARKING is a Polish product based on proprietary technology, developed since 2016 by GRAND’s in-house research and development department. GVP machines were designed in accordance with the Machinery Directive and approved for use by notified bodies.

Modularity

The structure allows machines to be combined
side-by-side or back-to-back with shared cladding and control

Drive-through layout

Pierwsze na świecie urządzenie umożliwiające
parking from both sides and exit without changing the driving direction

Personalization

Cladding as a configurable element based on the client’s preferences – architectural adaptation possible

Technology in harmony with nature

GVP parking systems are designed with environmental efficiency in mind, reducing emissions, energy use and excessive land development. The solution combines technological efficiency with environmental responsibility.

Environmental benefits:

Reduced CO₂ emissions

Automating the parking process eliminates the need to circle in search of a space, significantly reducing emissions and fuel consumption. Less traffic means cleaner city air.

Recycling and reuse of materials

According to an opinion from Rzeszow University of Technology and material composition analysis, up to 95% of device components can be recycled after operation ends. This reduces waste and enables reuse of raw materials in production.

Steel instead of concrete as a new direction for urban development

Concrete development dominates cities, while green areas, parks and playgrounds are often removed for new projects. GVP is made of steel, a more durable, lighter and fully recyclable material. It is a modern alternative to concrete structures, helping recover space for residents.

Green facade

Time for change: from traditional parking lots to a modern urban solution

GVP vertical parking systems are not only a solution to parking problems, but also a tool for creating more sustainable and user-friendly urban spaces. By storing vehicles vertically, the city gains valuable square meters of public space.

First: safety!

The safety of users and their vehicles is the highest priority in GVP systems. The machines have been designed according to the highest safety standards and have all required certificates and approvals for use. When designing GVP machines, we placed strong emphasis on safety, which is why the structure uses patented technical solutions and a multi-level safety system that helps predict and prevent emergency events.

Our solutions are protected by 6 patents in Poland, confirming the innovation and technological advancement of GVP systems.

Frequently asked questions

Znajdź odpowiedzi na najczęstsze pytania dotyczące parkingu pionowego GRAND VERTICAL PARKING

How do GVP parking systems increase the number of parking spaces?

Cities are filled with cars, while space for new parking is increasingly limited. The most effective way to increase parking capacity is to build upward, which is why GVP uses the vertical dimension. In dense urban development where flat parking cannot be expanded, a vertical structure significantly increases capacity.

How many cars fit in a GVP parking system?

Grand Vertical Parking devices are available in several models, from GVP6 to GVP16, holding 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 or 16 vehicles in one machine.
System capacity can be easily scaled from a single device with several spaces to sets forming parking facilities with hundreds of spaces.
Thanks to the modular structure, the number of parking spaces can be precisely adapted to project needs and site conditions.

How long does parking and vehicle retrieval take?

Parking in the GVP system usually takes up to 1 minute. Vehicle retrieval time depends on the location of the platform with the car. If the platform is on lower levels, it takes about 1 minute; on the highest levels, it can take up to 2 minutes.

What are the dimensions and limits for parked vehicles?

The GVP machine allows parking passenger cars weighing up to 2.5 tonnes and measuring up to 5.2 m long, 2.0 m wide and 2.0 m high. Grand Vertical Parking supports most popular passenger cars, SUVs and small vans.

How much does a Grand Vertical Parking machine cost?

The purchase cost depends mainly on project scale, number of parking spaces, model and site conditions. Pricing is prepared individually for each project. At the client’s request, we can also deliver the full investment process in a design-and-build formula, including detailed design, construction works, machine installation and system integration with urban infrastructure. Site conditions such as foundation design and construction, power supply and administrative procedures are usually on the client side, but comprehensive support by the GVP team is available.
